In this workshop, students will learn the ancient hand-building pottery technique of stacking and joining long ropes of clay to create unique vessels.


What You’ll Work On

– Rolling uniform coils

- Scoring and slipping to join clay

– Developing vessels and sculptural forms

– Surface experimentation and texture

– Glaze testing and finishing work

– Independent project development

Who It’s For

Open to beginners as well as returning students

Tuition $60 includes:

• Studio tools and equipment

• Glazes and firing

• 12.5 lb clay

Additional clay available for purchase.

Studio may photograph workshops and residents unless requested otherwise.
