Workshop Participation Waiver + Minor Consent

By registering for a workshop at Sterling City Studio, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

Participation in studio workshops involves the use of equipment and materials including, but not limited to, pottery wheels, kilns, slab rollers, extruders, printing presses, hand tools, and related studio materials. These activities carry inherent risks of injury.

I understand that I (and/or the minor participant listed in this registration) am voluntarily participating in studio activities and assume full responsibility for any risk of bodily injury, illness, or property damage arising from participation.

I agree to:

• Follow all safety instructions provided by instructors and staff
• Use studio equipment responsibly
• Disclose any relevant physical limitations that may affect safe participation

If I am registering a minor:

I confirm that I am the parent or legal guardian of the minor participant and grant permission for their participation in workshop activities. I understand the inherent risks and accept responsibility for the minor’s participation.

I release and hold harmless Sterling City Studio, its owner, instructors, visiting artists, and affiliates from claims, liability, or demands arising from participation, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

I understand that the studio may photograph workshops for documentation and promotional purposes. If I prefer that I or the minor participant not be photographed, I will notify the studio in writing prior to the workshop.

I acknowledge that I am responsible for personal belongings brought into the studio.
